About
Laura is an artist , illustrator, writer, and educator. A Kundiman Fellow, she is also the illustrator of the children’s book, Buoy (2024), and has shown her art in galleries such as LARVA, Arcano 0, Galería U, Santa Teresita Centro, and Almacén.
Her vivid illustration work is narrative, theatrical, and driven by the emotions in the stories she illustrates.
Her gallery art is surrealist and deeply personal, informed by the collisions of her internal and external world.
As an educator, she draws on her passion for inspiring individual experiences to guide her audiences back to the power of their own voices.
For every project, Laura’s work aims to uplift stories without a voice and express the inexpressible.
